I know you have all be dying for more of my painted treasures so I will share what I have worked on the past couple of days. (yes, I am being facetious)
First off, I have been getting some Open/Closed signs completed, this one is my favorites..I really enjoy the primitive rooster and hen..
I am trying to get some vintage type fruit stand signs done too, I was going to add a pear on this one but misjudged placement of the lettering, oh well, it looks okay without the added pear.
This is on my project list. I would like to paint it and use it in my studio for storage, it would certainly neaten it up as I could close the doors and hide much of my clutter.
I painted this long ago, and now I think I want to try the much touted chalk paint and some distressing on it. I do hate going over the chickens though.
Well, we have enjoyed another day of snow. I keep telling myself winter does NOT last forever though it has lasted longer this year than usual. We started a full month early and though it is not unusual to get snow in April here in the mountains we are all heartily tired of it. I have drug all my tomato plants back inside the house and on the rack upstairs, just too cold out in the greenhouse right now.
This morning I worked until noon on my Backwoods Cottage accounts, I had let entries get behind and that is not a good thing. I have determined to pick a particular day each week to keep up with the entries and be more organized about it. I have been much to scatterbrained this past year and need to get myself back on track.
I wish you all sunny skies and warm temps! for more painted signs check out my website.
what is chalk paint? This is so pretty, what a gift.
