Well, what do you know, I have over 100 followers! I am so glad I could write something, anything that some would enjoy. I’ve received so many encouraging and gratifying notes. I confess I must blog with care, this gets to be addicting.
I have enjoyed this jaunt into the blogging world. I have learned so much from so many, and I am talking about very useful stuff, not just miscellaneous info. My grandmother taught me how to upholster years ago and yet I have found several short cuts and helpful hints in bloggy land that would make it easier. I have wanted to do slipcovers but all that measuring held me back and now I have learned that is not always necessary, I have wanted grain sack anything but never found any I could afford and now I can make my own on the cheap! I can redo a floor with brown paper. I can live vicariously on a small farm with goats, cows and of course, chickens! I think I am truly a farm girl at heart. I would find it hard to pluck chickens though. (I have done it in the past as a young girl and I can still remember the stench, of course, if I was REALLY hungry, I could do it again). But I digress, I have seen what a garden looks like in February in Australia, what a treat when my eyes were tired of seeing snowy ground, and toured a French country home all while sitting in my cozy recliner by the fire…need I say more?
So in honor of all those that have joined me and put up with my stumbling around learning this blogger stuff (I have yet to get my blog organized and tidy but I will get there!) I am going to have a giveaway!
